Business Central Senior Consultant

WHO I AM
Hi — I'm Magda. A Senior Business Central Consultant with over 9 years of hands-on experience delivering Dynamics 365 BC implementations across Polish and international projects. I've led BC teams inside one of the Big4 firms, worked across finance, supply chain, and e-commerce integrations, and I currently run this blog to share what I've learned — clearly, practically, and without the fluff.
Outside of work I'm a wife (of a BC developer — yes, we talk about Business Central at dinner) and a proud mum to Franek. This blog exists because I believe good documentation, knowledge sharing, and a bit of courage can change someone's career — the way a single conversation changed mine.
From accountant to consultant — the long way round
I started my career at 19 in accounting. That first job handed me something unexpected: a genuine curiosity about numbers, systems, and how businesses actually work. It pushed me towards a Finance and Accounting degree — and then towards something even bolder.
In my second year of my bachelor's degree I applied for an international internship and landed in Bologna, doing audits at Mazars for three months. A year later I went back — this time for a Master's in Quantitative Finance at the University of Bologna. I left after four months. It wasn't the right fit, but it gave me something more valuable: the experience of living abroad, real fluency in another language, and the self-confidence that I could handle hard things.
The turning point came in my third accounting role. My manager suggested I try Navision consulting. I said yes. And then I spent a long time feeling like everyone around me was speaking a language I didn't know — tables, pages, XMLports, codeunits. My colleagues later admitted they weren't sure I'd make it. I kept going anyway.
That was the day I was professionally reborn. Nine years later I've led BC implementations at one of the Big4, managed cross-border projects, and built the kind of deep system knowledge that only comes from real implementation work — the messy, high-stakes kind.
Working two shifts — and writing about both
In 2021 I became a mum. Coming back to work after that — still being a senior consultant, still delivering projects, still learning — wasn't simple. It still isn't. But that's exactly why this blog exists.
I started Dynamics MOM to do three things: share practical, experience-based Business Central knowledge that people can actually use; give other women in tech the confidence that a demanding career and parenthood can coexist; and document the features, workflows, and patterns I use every day — so that someone else doesn't have to figure them out the hard way.
The name is deliberate. I'm both a BC consultant and a mother. Neither identity is secondary.
